TechSoup Software Donations
Take full advantage of TechSoup’s software donations before their fiscal year end deadline. Request up to your full allotment of valuable software, hardware, and online services from some of their most popular donors before your eligibility resets on June 30. On July 1, you’ll again become eligible to place requests. Note that any unused allotment from this fiscal year cannot be carried over. You can purchase software from the following categories plus more: Software and online services, financial management, hardware, and fundraising. The deadline is June 30.

The Exeter Giving Circle

Established in October 2002, the Giving Circle is a group of women united by their concern for disadvantaged children and teens in the community. As a membership group, the Giving Circle aims to pool the human and financial resources of the members in order to effect change in individuals’ lives.

The Giving Circle reviews grant applications in the fall of each year from nonprofit groups that provide services in the towns serving SAU # 16; which are Brentwood, East Kingston, Exeter, Kensington, Newfields, and Stratham. The Giving Circle supports programs that benefit disadvantaged children who live in the towns served by SAU #16 and projects that have a permanent impact on the participating individuals.

The next grant deadline for this program is November 2009. Proposals will be reviewed by the Giving Circle and grant notification will be sent out in January 2010. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be an approved 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization or be eligible for 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status.

Grants will be considered that focus on the following priorities:

Benefit disadvantaged children
Children live in the towns served by SAU #16
Projects should have a permanent impact on the individuals participating
Grant awards range from $500 to $5000. The average grant is $2,000.

Samuel P. Pardoe Foundation Grants
The Samuel P. Pardoe Foundation has dedicated a major portion of its funds to develop and support the Prescott Farm Audubon
Center and the new Sam Pardoe Education Center in Laconia. With the completion of the foundation's major commitment to the new education center, its general grantmaking budget has increased. The foundation will direct its grantmaking to Lakes Region organizations that focus on education, land and resource management and social services.

Founded to make funding available to women artists and women's art organizations. The Fund for Women Artists was created in the belief that women artists have the power to change the way women are perceived in our society. The Fund for Women Artists focuses mainly on women in theatre, film, and video.

Bob's Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation Supports Nonprofit Organizations

Deadline: Ongoing - Bob's Charitable Foundation provides resources directly to non-profit organizations who distribute to individuals. The primary focus is children, both healthy and those dealing with an illness; however assistance is provided to as many areas as possible. Donations are in many forms and many reasons.  Gift certificates are given to various agencies to support clients with children who need some extra help in obtaining such valuable things as bedding for a good night's rest. Google Grants Program Provides In-Kind Advertising for Non-profit Organizations

Deadline: Ongoing - Designed for non-profit organizations, the Google Grants AdWords program awards advertising on the Google.com site for organizations whose missions range from animal welfare to literacy, from supporting homeless children to promoting HIV education. Google Grants has awarded AdWords advertising to hundreds of non-profit groups in community service areas such as science and technology, education, global public health, the environment, youth advocacy, and the arts. Google Grant recipients use their award of free AdWords advertising on Google.com to raise awareness and increase traffic. Each organization awarded a Google Grant receives at least three months of in-kind advertising. http://www.google.com/grants/

Funds for Fresh Ideas to Improve Care for Vulnerable Populations

Deadline:  Open - The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Vulnerable Populations Portfolio is seeking new community-based approaches to health and health care problems that intersect with social factors—such as inadequate housing, poor education and poverty.

They are interested in projects that serve hard-to-reach individuals and families, especially new immigrants and refugees, frail older adults and at-risk adolescents and are especially interested in providing support to organizations that are outside the formal network of health care providers, such as grassroots organizations, faith-based organizations and advocacy organizations (rather than traditional providers such as hospitals and medical clinics).  Grants up to $300,000 for up to three years in duration are currently available.  All applicants must use the RWJF Brief Proposal Form to apply for this program. Funds for Conservation and Research Efforts

Deadline: December 1, 2007 - SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund is accepting grant proposals from organizations and individuals for conservation efforts. The fund has supported projects ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 for a one-year term. The fund will consider multi-year proposals, as many worthy conservation and research efforts require multiple years to achieve results and positive impact. The fund will consider proposals involving government-managed lands, sites, and programs. As with all proposals receiving fund support, the project must have broad community/constituency support and be based on legitimate scientific and conservation principals. http://www.swbg-conservationfund.org/get_involved.html

Dollars for Change is a resource booklet available to non-profits that provides information about funding resources. This booklet is published by The Commission on the Status of Women.

Girl Scouts of America Research Institute

Provides helpful and informative links to organizational sites that provide research and statistics on children and adolescents, as well as information and guidance on outcomes studies and program evaluation.

Guidestar
Guidestar offers basic nonprofit data services. This online resource provides a searchable database for organizations seeking funding from foundations. Donors can also search for and evaluate nonprofits to find those that match their giving plan.

A resource of information provided by partcipants in many online discussions about nonprofits and their work.

Provides a wealth of resources to nonprofits, as well as listings for jobs and events.

The Foundation Center: Update on Funding Priorities. Report identifies year 2000 trends in charitable giving and includes data on giving by topic area (health, education, environment, etc.), regional trends, and support for specific demographics, such as children and the poor.
